Mustang Sally:

A $10,000 donation to Art Road will allow us to bring art class to 40 students for the entire school year.  Contact us if you want to know more about adopting Mustang Sally.

Created on March 26, 2010 by 125 Art Road students and fourteen volunteers, the giant art dog was inspired by lovable thirteen-inch-tall "art dogs" created by students in our classrooms.

The students were all in awe of the large art dog and had great comments: One student told Mr. Stephen she wanted to take Mustang Sally home with her. He asked her how she was going to take it home. She said she was going to have her grandmother come and carry the art dog home for her. Several art students asked if the dog was filled with candy - what a great idea!! One student asked if we could make a bigger art dog.

On May 21, 2010, 125 Art Road students and 40 Daimler Financial Services employees will be claying five more large art dogs. The art dogs will be named by the students and volunteers and then go on tour to raise awareness that Art Road Nonprofit is the only organization in Michigan bringing art class back to schools.

Art Road Nonprofit's mission is for all children throughout Southeastern Michigan to have access to art instruction. Art Road accomplishes its mission entirely through private and corporate donations. To donate to Art Road Nonprofit please call 734/536-6256 or donate on line.
