Draw Roses

Draw a Rose with Ms. Marceline

To make a rosebud, start with a closed swirl shape. Draw a cup-like half circle und your swirl to make the base of the flower. Start from the base and make a tear drop shaped petal attached to the base. Erase one of the lines where the petal overlaps. Make one more line to show another petal behind the first. To make an open rose begin with a small closed swirl.  Add overlapping petals with curvy organic shapes. Attach the first to the swirl and let each petal be bigger than the last and overlap each of other until you have a full flower. Add details to your roses like a thorny stem and tiny rose leaves.
